    • Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 20, 1907 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Benjamin Brownell - In Faxton Hospital, at Utica, Saturday afternoon, March 9, occurred the death of Benjamin Brownell, of Vernon, and a former resident of Stillwater. Mr. Brownell had suffered from jaundice since the first of January and the physicians thought an operation the only means of relief. The operation was performed Saturday morning, after which he did not recover consciousness. October 25, 1905, Mr. Brownell was united in marriage to Miss Martha Clute, and their married life, though brief, has been happy. The father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Brownell, owing to illness, were unable to attend the funeral, which was at Vernon, at which place interment was made. Deceased was twenty-five years old. He was a great favorite with his companions, was kind, industrious and of good habits, possessing all the qualifications of true manhood. Only those who have suffered the pangs which sudden death brings can ftillv realize the blow that has fallen upon the young wife, the father, mother, brothers and sisters, who have the sympathy of their many friends at Venion and Stillwater.
