      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 28, 1921 Oswego Daily Palladium - Oswego, New York - Word was received here last night of the death in Mannsville, New York, of Ransom D. Soule, a former well known resident of this city. Mr. Soule was for many years employed as foreman in the Kingsford shops, the family home being at 351 West First sheet. About ten years ago he removed to Mannsville. Mr. Soule was prominent in Masonic circles in this city, being a past master of Oswego Masonic lodge.
      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 29, 1921 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Ranson A. Soule - Mannsville lost one of its oldest citizens Tuesday morning when Ranson A. Soule aged 88 years, 3 months passed away. Mr. Soule was born in the town of Richland the son of Reuben and Aurelia Soule. He was a brother of the late Potter Paine Soul and of Percival Soule of Altmar. For many years Mr. Soule was a foreman in the Kingsford shops at Oswego, the family residing at 351 West Fifth Street. Around 1900 he moved to Mannsville near which village he has since resided. Mr. Soule was active in Masonic circles as well as in the G. A. R. and Grange. He was a past master of the Oswego Masonic lodge. On January 14, 1913, fourteen years after the family moved to Mannsville Mrs. Soule died. He was a man of more than ordinary ability highly respected wherever he resided. He is survived by a son, Charles of Palataka, Florida and a daughter, Mrs. DeAlton Brown who had for many years resided in the parental home. Rev. J. L. Duesler, pastor of the Belleville Baptist church will officiate at the funeral to be held at the home of Miss Sarah Lester in Mannsville, Friday at one o'clock. Burial in the Willis cemetery in the town of Richland.
