      Newspaper Obituary - November 11, 1935 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Mrs. Bertha Tollerton Howard, 56, wife of Morgan E. Howard, died Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Alden, in the town of Schroeppel Monday morning. She had been ill several months. Mrs. Howard was born in the town of Parish September 2, 1879, daughter of the late Charles and Alva Farrar Tollerton. With her husband she conducted a grocery store in this village several years and also was a successful teacher in the district schools of the section, having taught in Texas, Arthur, Tollgate district and Mungers Corners. Three years ago the Howard's rented their store and moved to a farm near Mungers Corners. Mrs. Howard had been cared for at her daughter's home during her illness. Survivors are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Alden and Mrs. Leroy Zufelt of Mattydale; three grandchildren, and one brother, George H. Tollerton, Mexico. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral parlors of E. J. Fish with the Rev. H. H. Barnard of the Methodist church officiating and interment in Willis cemetery. Bearers will be Roy Anderson, Clifford and Peter Black, Bert Bombard and Charles Jacobs of Mexico.
