    • August 15, 1913 - Mary Ann Spink, age 67 years, 10 months, 3 days, Widow, Housekeeper, born in Pulaski, Daughter of Sylvester Hemens born in England, and Maria Box born in England, Died in Pulaski of heart disease, myocardial nephritis intestinal.
      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 27, 1913 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mary A. Spink - Mrs. Mary A. Spink was born in Pulaski, New York, October 21, 1846, a daughter of Sylvester Hemans and Maria Box Hemans. In this village and vicinity were spent her happy childhood days and here her education was received in the common schools and Pulaski Academy. In 1865 she was married to Albert M. Spink who died twelve years ago. To them were born three sons and four daughters, of home all but one survive. Her Christian character has been evinced by the fortitude, optimism and patience with which she met the trials of life. She loved her home and family devotedly and was a most thoughtful, self-sacrificing wife and mother. During her last illness she remarked that she would like to remain with her family longer but that she considered it an unusual blessing that she had been permitted to be with them so long and that they were so closely bound together. August 15, 1913, the anniversary of the death of a beloved grandchild, she went to join those who had gone before. To those who remain her memory is precious and will abide. She is survived by sons and daughters as follows: Harlow E. Spink, Mrs. (Rev.) W. A. Haven, Miss Alice B. Spink, Melzar M. Spink, Sheriff Ora M. Spink and Miss Florena M. Spink, also one sister and five brothers. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. P. Palmer at the home on Port Street, August 17th, after which the body was laid to rest beside those of her husband and daughter in Pulaski cemetery.
