      Osceola- Mrs. Esther Rowell E. Clemons, 72, widow of John E. Clemons, died yesterday In St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center, Utica.

      She waa born in Osceola, daughter of Charles and Phoebe Tanner Rowell. She attended Redfield schools.

      Mr. Clemons died about a month ago and since then Mrs. Clemons resided with her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Gage, this village. She was a member of Redfield Rebekah lodge, and of the United Church of Christ, Redfleld.

      Besides her daughter, she leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Morrison, Pulaski; Mrs. Leona Barnes, Richland; three sons. George, Syracuse; Erwjn and Harold, Osceola; two sisters, Mrs. Howard Ash, Venice, Fla.; Mrs. Stewart Germond, Marcy, three brothers, Harold Rowell, Redfield; Milton Rowell, .Greenville, Ala.; Ernest
      Rowett, Syracuse.

      The funeral will be held Saturday from the E.H. McDanials Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. John W. Crandall, pastor of the Redfield United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Redfield Cemetery.

      The Redfield Rebekahs will have a memorial service at 8 tomorrow in the funeral home

      She worked as a cook at a logging camp with her husband, who was a lumberjack at the time.
