Brother, you have crossed the silent river, We shall see your face no more, Until we shall pass death's dark river, And land upon the other shore. Your companion and your mother dear, Will see a vacant chair, They will cherish your memory here, But you have climbed the golden stairs. Your sisters and your brothers still, Mourn their dear departed one, But bow to Heaven's high will, And say, Oh God! thy will be done.
