  • Notes
    • PULASKI. Sept. 29.-The death of Albert F. Betts, which occurred last evening, removes one of the most highly esteemed citizens of this community.

Mr. Betts was a son of the late Dr. James N. Betts. He was born in Chenango county, N.Y., in 1844.

He came to this village with his parents when a young man. He engaged in the clothing business and continued in that line of work for many years. He later bought the Pulaski Electric Light Company's plant and was also one of the owners of the Charles Tollner box factory, and acted as secretary and manager of the plant for some time, retiring two years ago this Fall. Mr. Betts was an active worker in the Baptist church and a member of Pulaski Lodge, F and A. M. He was president of the Tillage for several years and in all his relations in private and public life he was one of the most noble and honorable of men.

He married Florence Peckham and to them were born a daughter, now Mrs. William B. Baker, of Gloversville, and a son, Frank P. Betts, of this village.

He also leaves, besides the widow, one brother, James H. Betts of this village. Another brother, Dr. G. W. Betts died last April.
