      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, May 12, 1980 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Leonard T. Prins, 58, of Wilder Drive, died late Sunday afternoon at Veterans Administration Hospital, Syracuse, where he had been a patient since May 7. Born March 11, 1922 in Gouverneur, he was the son of John and Mildred Liscumb Prins. He was a graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and later with the Merchant Marines. He married Mary E. LaCelle, July 31, 1951. Prins was employed as foreman by the New York State Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Richland Church of Christ, Richland Lions Club, dispatcher for Northern Oswego County Ambulance Service, member of Richland Cemetery Association and past member of the Board of Education of Pulaski Academy and Central School. Surviving are his wife, Mary, three sons, Staff Sgt. Steven B. Prins, USAF, Austin, Texas; and twin sons, Keith E. and Kurt E. Prins, both of Richland; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Bonnie) Wehrle of Waterville and Mrs. Sandy Lyman of Utica; a sister, Mrs. Janna Whaley of Richland, and six grandchildren Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, the Rev. Gerald Brownell, pastor of Richland Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
