      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 20, 1932 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell Teacher Dies In New York - Raymond E. Hilton who had been a patient in Bellevue Hospital, New York, since May 5, passed away Thursday morning, July 14, 1932. He was born in the town of Orwell, December 15, 1878, the oldest child of Harvey S. and the late Ella F. Hilton. He was graduated from the Teachers training class of Sandy Creek High School and from the normal school at Terry Haute, Indiana. Mr. Hilton has followed the vocation of teaching many years; he was employed as a teacher in Bellmore and Wantagh, Long Island, in two schools 23 years. He gave up his position at the latter place two years ago, because of poor health. He is survived by his wife, Hattie Platt Hilton; one daughter; three grandchildren; his father; two brothers, Reuben Hilton, of Pulaski, Claude Hilton of Painesville, Ohio, and by three sisters, Mrs. Eaton Greenfield, Mrs. Amy Barker and Mrs. B. F. Bohanan of Orwell. The funeral service was conducted Saturday afternoon at two o'clock by Rev. H. H. Barnard, in the home on Church street that Mr. Hilton had prepared and that he anticipated occupying. He came back to it for a day, but not in life. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
