    • Edward C. Mandigo, 95, long time resident of Port Crane, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy "Jane" Mandigo and devoted father of Richard (Paula) Mandigo of Albany, NY and grandfather of Stephen Mandigo of Saratoga Springs, NY. He was predeceased by his loving daughter Mary Morrison of Sidney, NY, his parents and five siblings. Edward was a WWII veteran and a teamster, ending his 37 year career with Consolidated Freightways in 1982. He devoted his 69 years of marriage to unselfishly taking care of his wife and family, and was well loved by his friends and community. He never lost his sense of humor and was noted for his quick wit and friendliness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2 at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, with Rev. Daniel Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward's memory may be made to your local Hospice.
