      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 10, 1907 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Philip Jenkins Box - Thursday night occurred the death of Philip J. Box, a well-known resident of this village. Mr. Box was born in Skaneateles, New York, April 20, 1834. He lived here in early life and followed the occupation of blacksmith. He lived in Belleville up to about ten years ago and has resided here since that time. The last weeks of his life he spent with his sister, Mrs. Esther Froude, who gave him all the care and relief possible to give one suffering from a distressing malady. Besides his sister, Mrs. Froude, Mr. Box is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. D. W. Smith, of Newport, New York, and a half-brother, Rollin D. Box, of Pulaski. The funeral was attended from the Froude home at two o'clock Sunday, Rev. Frederick Maunder officiating.

      Newspaper Article - Wednesday, April 17, 1907 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Letters of administration in the estate of Philip J. Box were issued by Surrogate Mead, Thursday, to Rollin D. Box, a half-brother of the deceased. The estate amounts to $16,000 in cash in savings banks, which will fall to four heirs, Mrs. Froude, Mrs. Smith, of Newport, R. D. Box and heirs of John F. Box, who are George M. and John F. Jr.

      Newspaper Article - Thursday, April 18, 1907 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Box Estate - Surrogate Mead held court at Pulaski Thursday and received a petition for letters of administration on the estate of Philip Box of Pulaski, a well-known resident of Pulaski, who died on the 4th inst. Esther box left an estate of $16,000 in cash on deposit in various banks and it will be shared by his heirs who are Rollin D. Box, brother, Pulaski; Esther A. Froude, sister, Pulaski; Lora E. Smith, sister, Newport, Herkimer County, New York. George M. Box and John M. Box, nephews, Pulaski. Letters of administration were asked by Celia T. Cooper on the estate of her father, Melvin L. Trumbull, who died on March 5th last. The estate is valued at $1,200 real and $1,800 personal. Mr. Trumbull's widow lives in Rochester. His survivors are his wife, a daughter Celia T. Cooper, Pulaski, Nellie Taylor, granddaughter, Sandy Creek and Ralph S. Trumbull, grandson, Scriba.
