      Lois M. Woodward, 58, of 7856 Richland Road, a native of Richville, died Tuesday in Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, Syracuse. She had been ill with cancer.

      The funeral will be at noon Thursday at the Richville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville.

      Calling hours will be 7 to 9 this evening at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

      Surviving are her husband, Donald E.; two sons, Douglas G. Skeldon, Genoa, and Donald E. Woodward II, Pulaski; two daughters, Melody A. Brodeur and Heidi S. Woodward, both of Pulaski; a stepson, Michael E. Woodward, Platka, Fla.; six grandchildren, and a sister, Loretta Thayer, Richville.

      She was born Oct. 20, 1934, in Richville, a daughter of Glenn and Mildred McRobbie Minnick. She graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1952 and was a graduate of the Watertown School of Cosmetology.

      She married Douglas Skeldon of Edwards in May 1955. Mr. Skeldon died in 1960.

      She later married Donald E. Woodward Aug. 29, 1964.

      Mrs. Woodward operated a beauty shop in Richville for several years. She was also employed by Kinney Drugs. She moved to Pulaski in 1968, where she owned and operated the Town and Country Beauty Shop from 1968 until 1992.

      She was a member of the Progress Club, Richville, the Pulaski Grange, and was a 4-H leader in Pulaski for several years.
