      The Rev. Harold Elwin Poole, 82, of 121 Lafayette Road, died Friday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital.
      He was born in Sandy Creek and had lived in Syracuse since 1952.
      Mr. Poole was a graduate of New York University and Eastern Nazarene College. He taught in the Newburgh school system for 15 years and later in Freeport, L.I. and Yonkers. From 1952 to 1968 he worked for the Breakstone Foods in Syracuse retiring in 1968.
      He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. While in college he was a member of Phi Delta Kappa and was a former member of the Pulaski F&AM lodge.
      Surviving are his wife, Susan E. Poole of Syracuse; two cousins and several nieces and nephews.
      Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Fairchild & Meech Syracuse Chapel. The Rev. David L. Speicher will officiate. Burial will be in Pulaski, N.Y. Cemetery.
