      Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, April 19, 1988 Syracuse Herald-Journal - Syracuse, New York - John D. Wilson, 70, of Main Street, Richland, died at home Monday evening. He was born November 4, 1917, in Port Ontario. Mr. Wilson graduated from Pulaski High School in 1934 and from Cornell University in 1938. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He owned and operated Wilson's Red and White Market in Richland from 1945 to 1987. Mr. Wilson was a former chairman of the Democratic Party in the town of Richland. He was a former justice of the peace in the town of Richland and a former welfare officer for the town. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Pulaski Odd Fellows. He was a member of the Pulaski Duplicate Bridge Club and he was a member of the Richland Pilot's Association. His wife, Emma, died in in 1978. He is survived by three sons, John R. of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, James G. and David L., both of Richland; two daughters Nancy Wilson of Liverpool and Sue Wilson of Syracuse; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 am. Thursday at Foster-flax Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at 7385 Park Street, Pulaski.

      Watertown Daily Times (NY) - April 19, 1988 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - EX-JUSTICE OF PEACE JOHN WILSON, 70, DEAD - John D. Wilson, 70, Main Street, proprietor of Wilson's Red and White market for many years, and former justice of the peace and welfare officer, died Monday evening at his home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with Rev. Kenneth Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Surviving are three sons, John R., Oak Ridge, Tenn., James G. and David L., both of Richland; two daughters, Nancy, Liverpool, and Sue, Syracuse; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, William E., died in October 1980. Born in Port Ontario Nov. 4, 1917, a son of Edward T. and Anna Dodge Wilson, he was graduated valedictorian of his class at Pulaski High School in 1934. He was also graduated from Cornell University, Ithaca, in 1938. Mr. Wilson served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He married Emma Grier Rogers, a native of Raleigh, N.C., Nov. 24, 1938, at the home of Dr. A.B. Thompson in Pulaski. Mrs. Wilson died in April 1978, at the age of 59. Mr. Wilson owned and operated Wilson's Red and White market in Richland from 1945 to 1987. He was former chairman of the Town of Richland Democratic Party and former justice of the peace and welfare officer for the Town of Richland. Mr. Wilson was also a member of the Pulaski Odd Fellows Lodge and the Pulaski Duplicate Bridge Club.
