      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 27, 1972 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Carol Maude Martin Dies at 63 ¬Friday, September 5, Carol Maude Martin died at the age of 63. Carol Martin was born September 1, 1909, in Orwell as the daughter of Clarence and Nettie (Vantine) Sampson. She attended Town of Orwell schools. On September 29, 1929, she married Fred Martin in Richland. They resided in Rochester until 18 years ago when they moved to their present home. Mrs. Martin was employed at Clapp's Baby Food until moving to Richland. She was a member of the Richland Church of Christ. Carol Martin is survived by her husband, 2 sons; Fred Martin Jr., of San Francisco, California, and Phillip. Martin of Richland. Also surviving are six daughters Mrs. Anthony (Ramona) DePasquale of Rochester, Mrs. Charles (Joan) Leaper of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Ciereck of Camillus, Mrs. John (Coralie) Scott of Richland, Mrs. David (Wilma) Lass of Oswego, and Debbi Martin of East Syracuse. There are 15 grandchildren surviving, 2 brothers, Howard and Floyd Sampson, both of Brownville, and - one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Taylor of Brownville. The funeral was Monday, September 18 at 1 p.m. at the Richland Church of Christ, by the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Pastor of the Richland Church of Christ, Rev. Gerald Brownell officiated. Burial was at Richland Cemetery.
