      Newspaper Obituary - October 30, 2005 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - October 28, 2005 Jerry R. Webb, 69, of Winterville, North Carolina, formerly of Pulaski, died Friday at his home. Born on May 15, 1936, in Fernwood, he was the son of Lewis and Ella Calkins Webb. He was a life resident of Fernwood until moving to North Carolina in 2001. He graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1958 and married Muriel Boyce on May 26, 1960. He served in the National Guard. Jerry was employed at Crouse-Hinds for 35 years, retiring in 1995, and was previously employed by GE in Syracuse for 10 years. He was a member of Believers' Chapel North Church in Mexico, New York, and a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Greenville in North Carolina. He was a former member of NOCA. Surviving are his wife, Muriel; two daughters, Kathy (John) Moebs of Winterville, North Carolina, and Marlene (B. Jay) Brown; one son, Daniel, all of Greenville, North Carolina; his mother, Ella Webb, and a brother, David Webb, both of Fernwood, New York; three sisters: Marilyn Halsey of Mexico, Joyce Miller of Pulaski and Shirley Bellows of Lake City, Florida; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Donald Webb. Graveside funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Donations may be made to Believers Chapel North, Mexico, New York 13114.
