    • Newspaper Article - Wednesday, October 3, 1900 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - The Potter-Barker Wedding - Last Wednesday was an exceptionally bright autumn day, which was pleasing to the number of people who had been bidden to the wedding of Miss Jennie L., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Barker, of Orwell, to Mr. Robert G. Potter of the same town, son of Mr. and Mss Sylvester Potter, of Oswego. As the horn set for the ceremony grew near the guests commenced to arrive until about seventy were assembled in the parlors of the bride's home. When the horn of five was reported and the first notes of the wedding march were heard, Miss Nellie Potter, of Oswego, sister of the groom, presiding at the piano, the groom entered the parlor with the bridesmaid, Miss Rose Fenton, of Pulaski, upon his ann and they were followed by Mr. Claude Stowell with the bride. The four took their place under a beautiful arch of flowers in the center of which was a floral bell. The background to the corner in which the arch stood was of ferns. A beautiful ceremony was rendered by Rev. W. H. Seed, of Orwell. After congratulations the company was seated to small tables and an elaborate wedding supper was served. The bride was gowned in cream hemietta and her maid wore a dress of white lawn. Mr. and Mrs. Potter took the evening train for Oswego and after a trip to several places in the central part of the state they will be at their home near Orwell village. Many beautiful gifts were bestowed which gave expression to the warm affection felt for the young people by their many friends. Guests from out of town where, Mrs. C. H.
