    • Newspaper Article - Thursday, September 30, 1880 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell - It was an unusually pleasant occasion, that at the home of our friend, Horace Parker, and Orwell, was on Wednesday last. His house was thronged with guests to witness the union for life of his only daughter, Stella, to one of Orwell's esteemed and reliable young men, Orville Stowell, son of Mr. Cyrus Stowell, for many years a resident of the town. The invited guests included the near neighbors in many of the old friends of Mr. and Mrs. Parker, and a number were present from adjoining towns. Beautiful and well selected gifts testified to the esteem cherished for the young bride by numerous friends. A most generous table testified to the hostess familiarity with the mysteries of the art culinary, and with the ready appetites of a cheerful wedding party. Mr. and Mrs. Stowell left at an early hour for their wedding journey. We understand that their destination was the City of Rome, which they expected to reach in the evening of the eventful day, so surprising is the speed of modern travel! We believe that the happy couple design to make Orwell their future home. The good wishes of many friends attend them in the new life upon which they enter, with hopes bright and courage strong.

Newspaper Article - Thursday, September 30, 1880 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Married - Stowell-Parker - In Orwell, September 22d, 1880, at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. Horace Parker, by Rev. Frank N. Greeley, of New Haven, Mr. Orville Stowell and Miss Stella M. Parker. The editor and family acknowledge the receipt of a box of cake and fruit direct from the wedding feast. The young and happy pair have our heartiest congratulations.
