    Duane R. Blodgett, 69, of 1627 County Route 2, died Monday at Oswego Hospital.
    Mr. Blodgett worked at New Process Gear, East Syracuse, for 28 years, retiring in 1990. He previously worked at General Electric and Carrier Corp., both in Syracuse.
    Born Sept. 29, 1930, in Orwell, son of Harold W. and Dorothea M. Butts Blodgett, he was a 1948 graduate of Sandy Creek High School. He served in the Air Force from 1948 to 1952.
    He married Betty J. Cone on April 17, 1952.
    Mr. Blodgett was a member of the Pulaski Horseshoe Club and a former Boy Scout leader.
    Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Judith A. Campbell, Austin, Texas; four sons, Richard D., Oswego, James H., Tampa, Fla., Timothy H., Orwell, and William W., Pulaski; two sisters, Betty D. Martin, Orwell, and Nancy L. Trust, Pulaski, 14 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
    The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Miller officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

    Betty J. Blodgett, 70, of 1627 County Route 2, died Friday at Seneca Hill Manor, where she had resided since March 26, 2004.

    Mrs. Blodgett was a homemaker.

    Born June 16, 1935, in the town of Richland, daughter of Earl and Ida White Cone, she attended school at Pulaski Academy and Central School.

    She married Duane R. Blodgett on April 17, 1952, in Pulaski. The couple resided in Orwell their entire married life. Mr. Blodgett died March 13, 2000.

    She attended Vorea Community and Boylston Wesleyan churches.

    Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Judith A. and William Campbell, Austin, Texas; four sons and their wives, Richard D. and Judy, Oswego, James H. and Shelly, Tampa, Fla., and Sandy Creek, Timothy H. and Margaret, Orwell, and William W. and Darlene, Pulaski; three sisters and their husbands, Shirley and John Almeida, Mattydale, Beverly and Mike Flaherty, Williamstown, and Sandra and Don Clemons, Maple View, 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    Two brothers, Earl and John Cone, died before her.

    The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sandy Creek Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Brian Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

    Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.

    Donations may be made to Orwell Fire Department or the National Kidney Foundation.

    Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Orwell Volunteer Fire Department.
    Surviving are two sons, Elvin D., Cleveland, and Duane R., Orwell; two daughters, Betty D. Martin, Orwell, and Nancy L. Trust, Pulaski; 22 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    Born February 21, 1907, in Orwell, son of Miles and Lillian Hilton Blodgett, he was a life resident of Orwell. He married Dorothea M. Butts July 11, 1925. Mrs. Blodgett died June 7, 1991.
    Mr. Blodgett retired in 1969 after 30 years with the town of Orwell Highway Department. He had also been employed by the former Oswego County Sanitarium and the Ed Barke Ladder Co.
    He was a former town justice and a member of the Orwell town board.

    Dorothea M. Blodgett, 83, Orwell, died Friday at her home.

    The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Thomas Howell, Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

    Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 this evening and 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

    She is survived by her husband, Harold W.; two sons, Elvin D., Cleveland, and Duane R., Orwell; two daughters, Betty D. Martin, Orwell, and Nancy L. Trust, Pulaski; a sister, Blandine Day, St. Petersburg, Fla.; 22 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

    Born March 23, 1908, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., daughter of Loren and Maude Maynard Butts, she attended Orwell schools and married Harold W. Blodgett July 11, 1925.

    She worked at General Electric for 17 years, retiring in 1968. She was a lifetime member of the Orwell Methodist Church, a charter member of the Orwell Methodist Church Dalk class, a member and past matron of Pulaski Chapter 159, Order of the Eastern Star, a member and a past district deputy of the Mexico Silvercrest Rebekah Lodge and a charter member of the Halfshire Historical Society, Richland.
