    Obituary - Barbara Jean Holbrook, daughter of Clinton and Mary Woolson (Sweet) and William Sweet went to be with the Lord on January 31,2020. She is survived by her four children; Bonnie (Tom) Finnerty, John M (Debbie) Holbrook, Chadwick Holbrook, Kathleen (Stacy) Cooper, her dear friend George Heitzman, sister-in-law Bette Woolson, her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, sister Gladys Fox and step sister Wilma Currier, brothers Clinton Woolson, Robert Woolson, step brother Rex Woolson and Walter Woolson and infant grandson John M. Holbrook, Jr. Her life story was truly a celebration of her love for her Lord Jesus Christ, her commitment to His work and service to others. She was a prayer warrior in the truest sense. She loved being a nurse at St. Luke’s and Benjamin Rush, serving as church secretary and caring for her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren above all things. Calling Hours will be Monday February 3rd from 5-7pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 7pm at Summerville Funeral Home. A burial ceremony and celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on May 30, 2020

"Bob" Holbrook, age 88, of Pulaski, died Monday at the home of his daughter in Mexico where he resided since 2005. Born on January 31, 1919 in Otisco, he was the son of Arthur and Kathryn Stevens Holbrook. He resided in Pulaski from 1948 to 2005 spending winters in Arcadia, Florida from 1962 to 2005. He graduated from Tully High School in 1937 and married Aleta Allen on August 24, 1940. He was employed by Ironworkers Local 4160 in Syracuse retiring in 1982. He was also employed by GE and Oberdorfer's Foundry. He was a member of the Otisco Methodist Church and Sandy Pond Sportsman Association. Bob was an avid fisherman, golfer and hunter. Surviving: his wife, Aleta A.; one son, John A. (Joann) Holbrook of Pulaski; two daughters, Madelaine (Wendell) Rowell of Arcadia, Florida and Pulaski, Linda (Glenn) Burdick of Mexico; 11 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 10 at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the funeral service. Donations can be made to Oswego County Hospice, Box 102, Oswego, New York 13126.

Holbrook, 88, devoted mother and grandmother, formerly of Pulaski, died Thursday at her daughter's home in Mexico, where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 24, 1920, in Syracuse, the daughter of Frank B. and Kathryn Wilcox Allen. She resided in Pulaski from 1948 until 2005 when she moved to Mexico, spending winters in Arcadia, FL, from 1962 until 2005. She graduated from Central High School in Syracuse in 1938, and she attended Syracuse University. She married Robert N. Holbrook on August 24, 1940; he died November 5, 2007. She was employed by Walker's Cleaners, Pulaski Department Store, General Electric in Syracuse and Sealright in Fulton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Syracuse, a 62-year member of OES #567 Bonafide-Hiawatha Solvay Chapter, and a 62-year member of the Women's Relief Corps. She was also an avid golfer. Surviving: one son, John A. (Joann) Holbrook of Pulaski; two daughters, Madelaine (Wendell) Rowell of Pulaski, and Linda (Glenn) Burdick of Mexico; 11 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.     Newspaper Obituary - February 09, 1956 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Clinton Woolson Dies Suddenly At Home In Woodville - Clinton Woolson, 53, of Woodville passed away suddenly January 30, 1956 with a heart attack at his home. The funeral was held Thursday at 1 p.m. in his home with Rev. Ivan Greenfield of Rome officiating. Burial will be in Orwell cemetery. Mr. Woolson's car became stuck in the snow during last week Monday's storm, and after shoveling for a time in an attempt to free it, he abandoned the car and then walked home. Entering the house, he fell on the floor and died almost immediately. Death was caused by coronary occlusion. Mr. Woolson was the son of Allie and Nina Look Woolson of Richland, who survive together with his wife and children, Walter Woolson of Delphi Falls, Mrs. Wilma Currier and Rex Woolson of Richland, Robert, Clinton Jr., Barbara, and Gladys Woolson all residing at home and a brother, Claude Woolson of Richland - Native of Orwell - Mr. Woolson was born Nov. 13, 1903, at Orwell. He was employed as a welder by the Fitzgibbon Boiler company in Oswego and then was shop foreman at the Ruder Buick company at Pulaski. He had worked for Eastman brothers since last spring. As a young man he served with the coast guard in Oswego and Buffalo.

The couple owned and operated Sweet's Silver Star Market at Pulaski until retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Pulaski Baptist Church and Pulaski Chapter 159, Order of the Eastern Star.

Woolson, 88, of Richland died August 14 at the Hillcrest Nursing home where he had been a patient four months. Born October 1, 1884 in Orwell, the son of Herman and Emma Greenfield Woolson. He attended schools at Vorea, New York. On February 25, 1903 he married Nina Look in Sandy Creek. They celebrated their 70th anniversary this past February. Woolson was in the logging business and also farmed at his home until his retirement many years ago. He is survived by his wife, one son, Claude A. Woolson of Richland; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. One sister Mrs. Albert Hazel Look of Lacona. One brother Herman Woolson of Orwell. Funeral services were held Friday, August 17 at 1 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Rev. Ivan Greenfield pastor of the Orwell Union Church officiating. Burial was in the Richland Cemetery.
