    Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, November 10, 2001 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Lyle B. Cole, 92, of Lehigh Road, Pulaski, died Thursday. Born in Richland, he attended Pulaski schools. He retired in 1978 after 50 years operating a dairy farm. His wife, the former Mabel Whaley, died in 1977. Survivors: A son, Freeman H.S. of Pulaski; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Services: 11 am. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial, Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. Calling hour, 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, 52 Park St, Pulaski.
    According to his obituary, Lyle farmed for 50 years, retiring in 1977.

    Lyle married Mabel Irene Whaley on 20 Aug 1932. Mabel (daughter of James B.     Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 27, 1939 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Norman Root Cole, 67, died yesterday morning at his farm home in the southeastern part of the town of Richland after a short illness of pneumonia. Mr. Cole was born August 18, 1872 and had spent his life on the farm where he died. On August 18, 1902, he married Jessie Reese. He was a member of South Richland Grange. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Lyle, Norman and Rodney, one sister, Mrs. Marion Whitney of Syracuse; and one brother, F. H. S. Cole of Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. George Butler of Fernwood officiating. Burial in Riverside cemetery.

    Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 14, 1949 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Jessie Reese Cole Dies Following Illness - Mrs. Jessie Reese Cole, 61, widow of Norman Cole, died at her home in the Lehigh district late Sunday afternoon following a short illness. Funeral services were held from the Taylor funeral home in North Jefferson Street Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. James N. Pauley, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was made in the Riverside cemetery. Surviving are three sons, Lyle Cole of Mexico; Norman and Rodney Cole of Pulaski; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Avery Sharp of Texas and a half brother, James Middleton, Pulaski. Mrs. Cole was born in the town of Sandy Creek April 23, 1887, the daughter of Walter and Lillian Watkins Reese. She came to the town of Richland at the age of one year, and had lived in the Lehigh district for the past 60 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Cole on August 8, 1902, and had lived at her present home since her marriage. Mr. Cole died in December, 1939. She was an attendant of the Christian Science church in Syracuse, and a member of South Richlnad grange.

    Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 3, 1904 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Caroline Root Cole, wife of Clark W. Cole, daughter of the late Norman Root, of this village, passed peacefully away at her late home, about three miles from this village, in the Leihy district, last Wednesday morning. Caroline Root was born in Otsego County, New York, July 24, 1827. She was married to Clark W. Cole, December 18, 1850, and celebrated her fiftieth anniversary in 1900. There were born of this union eight children, Mrs. B. H. Eggleston, of Villie_, Iowa; Mrs. Marion Whitney, of Syracuse, New York; Mrs. Martha S. Garrett, deceased; Rev. W. W. Cole, of Milford, New York; Mrs. H. A. Stowell, of Syracuse, New York; Emory Cole, of New London, New York; and Freeman H. S. Cole, of Corning, Iowa; and Norman Root Cole, of Pulaski, New York. Mrs. Cole was a kind and loving mother, a devoted companion and a beloved Christian neighbor and friend. She united with the M. E. church of Daysville, New York, in youth and after her marriage changed her membership to the Pulaski M. E. church and she was also a member of the South Richland Grange. Her funeral was largely attended on Friday from her late home, Rev. B. D. F. Snyder officiating.
