    Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 26, 1954 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Deaths - Charles A. Rouck of 217 1/2 Garfield ave died yesterday in Syracuse General Hospital. He was a retired carpenter. Mr. Houck is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rhoda Houck; a brother H.J. Rouck of Liverpool and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m tomorrow at the Snyder Funeral Home, the Rev. Dr. William Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Euclid. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

    "The funeral of John G. Houck, 86, Civil War veteran, who died suddenly of heart disease yesterday, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home in the town of Clay. Burial will be in Morgans Cemetery. Mr. Houck had resided in Clay nearly all his life. During the war he served with the Twelfth New York volunteers. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catherine Houck; two sons, Charles of Fulton and Heber Houck of the town of Clay; one daughter, Mrs. Burton Soughard of Brewerton, and one brother, Jacob Houck of this city."
