      The Will of Joseph Allen of Barrington, Rhode Island as follows: In the name of God, Amen, I Joseph Allen of Barrington in the County of Bristol, Yeoman, this 12th day of December 1807, being in health of body and of a sound ---- mind and memory blessed by Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
      Imprimis: My will is that my just debts and funeral charge be paid by my executor hereafter named---
      Item: I give unto my beloved wife, Joanna Allen, one third of my real and personal estate as her dowery.
      Item: I give unto my beloved son Johnathan Allen thirty dollars to be paid in produce.
      Item: Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Joseph Allen forty dollars.
      Item: I give unto my beloved son Benjamin Allen one dollar.
      Item: I give unto my beloved son James Allen forty dollars.
      Item: I give unto my beloved daughter Susanna Thurston ten dollars.
      Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Mary Smith one dollar.

      And lastly, as to all the rest, residue, and remains of my real and personal Estate lands and chattels of whatever kind and nature I give and bequeath the same to my beloved son Squire Allen, whom I hereby appoint sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made---.
