  • Notes
    • Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 7, 1886 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - hi Pulaski, New York, January 2, 1886, Mrs. Lovina Warner Snow. She was born in Kirkland, Oneida County, New York, August 29,180_, married Benjamin Snow February 16, 182_, and from that time until her death lived in Pulaski. She was one of a family of fourteen children, only two of whom survive her. Her husband died November 4, 1848, leaving her with four sons and one daughter. The youngest son, George, died in the service of his country in January, 1862; the other children remain to cherish the memory of their mother, two of them, Benjamin Snow and Mrs. J. W. Fenton, are highly respected residents of Pulaski. Mrs. Snow was one of the consistent members of the Pulaski Baptist Church, in which communion she lived and an exemplary Christian life; even when her mind lost its grasp on other things, the facts of religious experience and the progress of religious work remained dear to her. There was in her deportment a beautiful, unpretentious dignity which was the natural manifestation of a strong, yet sweet, character. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord; yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them."
