- Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 17, 1930 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Richland Merchant Passes - Milton J. Coon, 62, Richland merchant, died at his home in that place early Sunday morning, following an illness of more than six months. Mr. Coon was born February 28, 1868 on his father's farm near Richland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Coon. For the past thirty year's he conducted a store in Richland. In 1901 he married Miss Mina Wyman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wyman, who survives him. He was a member of the Richland Methodist church. Besides the widow he is survived by three brothers; Willis H. Coon of Orwell; Orrin Coon, Pulaski and Frank Coon of Syracuse; two sisters, Mrs. Louis H. Chawgo of Pulaski and Mrs. Julia VanAlstyne of Richland. Funeral services were conducted from the home at 1:30 this afternoon, Rev. Charles Shumway, pastor of Richland M. E. church, officiating. Burial in Richland cemetery.
