- Newspaper Obituary - October 30, 1941 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Services Yesterday For Oren P. Coon - Oren P. Coon, 76, died at his home on Port Street early Monday morning following an illness of several months. He was born in Richland March 28, 1865, a son of Peter and Lydia Orton Coon. He was employed by the New York Central for 27 years and always lived in this vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Coon celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on September 2. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice West Coon; two sons, Earl J. Coon of Watertown, and Harold W. Coon of Fulton; two brothers, Franklyn Coon of Syracuse and Willis H. Coon of Altmar; one sister, Mrs. Louisa Chawgo of Pulaski and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with a service at the house at 1:30 and at the Methodist Church at two o'clock. Rev. W. A. Gardner, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sandy Creek.
