- Newspaper Obituary - (Source Unknown) - Dorothy M. Billings , 70, North Main Street, died Sunday at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton, where she was admitted Friday. Mrs. Billings was stricken ill Friday on her way to Lee Memorial Hospital to visit a family member. Born Dec. 17, 1927, in Lacona, daughter of Harry and Dora Stewart Cook, she attended school in Sandy Creek. She married Phillip V. Billings on Jan. 26, 1946, in Lysander. Following their marriage, the couple lived in the Mannsville area until the late 1970s, when they moved to Zephyrhills, Fla. They returned to the Mannsville area two years ago when Mr. Billings became ill. Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Phillip E., Fulton, John A., Adams, and Robert L., Rodman; three daughters, Linda M. Bailey and Rae R. Tennant, both of Mannsville, and Tamar L. Wood, Crystal Springs, Fla.; a brother, Vernon Cook, Fulton, 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Private burial will be in Richland Cemetery.
