Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 28, 1990 Palladium-Times - Oswego, New York - Ruth L. Finster - Cicero - Ruth L. Finster, 75, of 5876 Gillette Road, died Sunday at University hospital, Syracuse. A native of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Finster lived in Orwell from 1939 until moving to Cicero in 1986. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton J. who died in 1986 and a son, C. Donald, who died November 23. She was a secretary with the Pulaski School District and she also assisted her husband in the operation of a farm. Mrs. Finster was also employed for several years with Canale’s Dry Cleaning in Sandy Creek. She was a member of Orwell United Methodist Church and attended Cicero United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Cicero Senior Citizens. She is survived by two sons, John H. of Mobridge, South Dakota, and Bruce W. of Springwater; a brother, John Thompson of Nutley, New Jersey; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Orwell United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the University Dialysis Fund, 1127 East Genesee Street, Syracuse. Foster-Hax Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
