      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday March 22, 1928 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Death of Mrs. Lillian Price Geer - Many sorrowing friends and relatives attended the funeral services for Mrs. Lillian C. Geer, wife of Francis Geer of Fernwood. Mrs. Geer was born at Harrisburg, Lewis County, February 4, 1860. She was one of the nine daughters born to William and Clorinda Price. On March 31, 1877 she married Francis Geer of Pitcairn, New York, to them was born six children, four of whom are living. One son died in infancy and the eldest daughter, Mrs. Mable Wright, died May 11, 1914. About thirty-five years ago she came to Oswego County where she has since resided. Two weeks ago she was stricken with pneumonia, followed by apoplexy, which was the cause of her death on Tuesday March 13th. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Lewis Geer of Fernwood, Ray W. Geer of Central Square; two daughters, Mrs. T. K. Smith of Maple View and Mrs. C. F. Goodsell of Fernwood; one sister, Mrs. Cyrus Beach of Harrisville; also ten grandchildren, Mrs. Enda Wright Erwin of Carthage, Mrs. Donald Wright of Rome, Lola Geer, Max Geer, Harland Goodsell, Lewis Goodsell, all of Fernwood, Ivorah Geer, Francis Geer of Central Square, Donald Smith and Doris Smith of Maple View, and two great-grandchildren, daughters of Mrs. Erwin. The casket was covered with many floral tributes, which included pieces from the N.Y.C. operators, Central Square Masonic Lodge, the Fernwood M. E. and Baptist churches, Maple View friends, Fernwood school and many beautiful flowers from the friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held from the family home March 16th at one o'clock, with Rev. Lawrence of Pulaski officiating and at one-thirty at the Fernwood Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Fennen officiating. Mrs. Clinton Manwarren and Mrs. Vernon Halsey rendered vocal selections. Bearers were. Jesse Burdick, Charles Cooper, Don Petrie and Dewitt Manwarren. Interment was made in the Willis Cemetery.
