    • February 13, 1908 ~ Clara J. Babcock, age 40 years, 6 months, Married, born in Orwell, New York, Resident of Richland Township for 5 years, Daughter of C. M. Myers born in Orwell, New York, and Annsen R. Sampson born in New York, Died in Pulaski of tuberculosis, exhaustion.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, February 19, 1908 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Clara Myers Babcock passed away at her home in this village, early Thursday morning, February 13, after a long illness of consumption. Mrs. Babcock was born in Orwell, June 24, 1867, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Myers. She was married to Delbert Babcock, July 31, 1892, and to them were born four children, Orrian, Myers, Delberta and Alice, all of whom, together with the husband, father and mother survive. The greater part of Mrs. Babcock's life was spent in Orwell until five years ago when she with her family and parents came to reside in this village, where she has won the highest esteem of a large number of friends by her beautiful Christian character and her interest in all things which were for the uplifting of humanity. She was a member of the M. E. church, also of the Woman's Home Missionary Society and the I. O. G. T. For many months it has been known that Mrs. Babcock could not long survive the terrible disease which had fastened its hold upon her, but with undeviating faith she could look into the future and say "All is well." The deepest sympathy of all is with the bereaved husband and children and the father and mother in the loss of their only daughter. The funeral services were largely attended at the home, Sunday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. Frederick Maunder officiating. Two duets were sung, "Still With My Saviour" and "_ Happy Day," by Miss _ Hubbard and Miss Frances _. Beautiful flowers were given to show the affection for deceased and family. Burial was made in Pulaski cemetery.
