    • Obituary for Mrs. Erma M. Lamica
      Erma M. Lamica, 81, of Malone died Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 at The Alice Center, Malone surrounded by her loving family.
      Born on March 9, 1935 in Malone, NY, she was the daughter of Glody and Marjorie (Gardner) Lamondie.
      She was married to Ronald W. Lamica on Feb. 14, 1953 in Malone. The marriage ended in divorce.
      Mrs. Lamica was employed for many years as a sewing machine operator for Tru-Stitch, Malone and later for Davidson Rubber in New Hampshire. She enjoyed dancing and listening to country music, working in her yard and bingo.
      She is survived by three sons, Mark Lamica and his wife, Starr of Whippleville, Larry Lamica and his wife, Martha of Brushton, Ronald Lamica Jr. of Burke; six grandchildren, Derek Lamica and Jennifer Tatro of Malone, Kristine Shaw and Michelle Lamica Massey of Strasburg, VA, Melissa Stafford of North Carolina and Darren Lamica of Virginia; six great-grandchildren, Chase of Malone, Alexis, Leighton and Everlee of Strasburg, VA, Alexandria and Alana of Jacksonville, NC; and a sister Ida Brooks of Groton, NY.
      She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Francis Lamondie and her husband, Ronald Lamica.
      There are no calling hours.
      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30 at St. John Bosco Church.
      Burial will take place at St. John Bosco Cemetery.
