WILLIAMSTOWN - Frederick P. Britton, 77, of Williamstown
RD2, died Friday at Upstate Medical Center,
Syracuse, after a long illness.
A native of Scriba, he resided in Williamstown for
several years. He had retired from the New York State
Conservation Department. He was manager for the Kasoag Little League for several years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Roxie Trumble;
seven sons, Francis, Robert, Charles, Louis, all of Williamstown,Grover of Altmar, Stewart of Florida, and
Jackie of Camden; six daughters, Mrs. Edith McCarty
and Mrs. Peggy Hickey, both of New Mexico, Mrs. Marion
Stevens, Mrs. Phoebie Wheeler and Mrs. Alice
Eldrid, all of Altmar, and Mrs. Judy Campbell of
Camden; 70 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Mrs. Julia McLaughlin of Mexico, and Mrs.
Mary Meghar of Camden; and several half brothers and
sisters. -
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Harter-Olmstead
Funeral Home, ParishJJurial will be in Fairview
Cemetery.
Calling hours 2 to4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral
home, 7430 Main St.
