    • Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 7, 1886 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell - On Friday, January 1st, the mortal life of Alfred Waggoner, aged 30 years, terminated. For more than a year the struggle with disease had been progressing, and at last, too we read to prolong what had become an unequal contest, the young man closed his eyes in the long sleep which to him brought rest. His last days were passed at the house of his brother-in-law, Charles Hilton. Mr. Waggoner, when in health, was in the employ of J. H. Larrabee of Pulaski, by whom he was very highly esteemed. The funeral was held in the union church on Sunday afternoon and was very largely attended. The Masons of Pulaski and of the town turned out in a body and conducted the burial services of their brother at the cemetery. Rev. Mr. Owen, pastor of the Baptist Church at Pulaski, of which deceased was an honorable member, presided at the church service and preached an impressive and appropriate discourse.
