    • Newspaper Article - Wednesday, September 10, 1902 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - The Bennett-Clark Wedding - At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Clark, at Salmon River, last Tuesday at four o'clock, occurred the marriage of Miss L. Maude Clark to Mr. G. Willis Bennett, of Norwich. The house was prettily decorated with evergreens and sweet peas. As the bridal party descended the stairs Miss Lulu Frye, of Altmar, played the wedding march. Miss Ethel Rice, of East Syracuse, performed the dainty function of flower girl, the flowers being white and pink roses. Bertha and Irene Lohnes, Ora Bentley and Blanche Fox carried the ribbons. Glen Fradenburg carried the ring and the impressive ceremony of the M. E. church was recited by Rev. W. D. Aubrey, of Altman. The bride was attired in a handsome traveling dress and was especially attractive in appearance. A wedding supper was served and the bridal party took the evening train for a short visit at Richfield Springs before going to their home in Norwich. The bride has been one of the most esteemed young ladies of her town and one of the best teachers in this district. The groom is a son of Mr. Roswell Bennett, of Salmon River, and is a very estimable citizen of Norwich where he has a responsible position in a large factory. Guests present were: Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Bentley and daughter Ora, of Leihy; Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Lohnes and daughter Irene, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Dennison, Mr. D. W. Ballou, Mr. C. M. Pettengill, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Bennett and daughter Elizabeth, of Salmon River; Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Prouty, Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Trumbull, Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Seamans, George White, Mr. and Mrs. Addison Prosser, Mrs. A. J. Lindsay, Blanche and Fred Gould, Mrs. Harvey Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Twitchell, Ray Trumbull, Edith Wightman, Carrie Wood, Miss Zilla A. Rice, of Pulaski; Mr. T. Burch, Salmon River; Mr. S. Thompson, Miss Petrie, Redfield; Mr. and Mrs. V. F. Ballou, Thomas and Eugenie Soule, Miss Lulu Frye, Glenia Fradenburg, Blanche Fox, of Altmar; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Moon, Mexico; Mr. and Mrs. George Staplin and sons, Ellisburg; Ethel Rice, Syracuse; Bertha Lohnes, Salmon River; Carrie Thomas, New Centerville. The gills from their friends made a long list of very useful and ornamental articles, testifying the esteem in which the bride and groom are held among their friends.
