    • Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 11, 1886 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died, at Salmon River, Oswego County, New York, February 28, 1886, Mrs. Loretta S. Bennett, aged 64 years, 2 months and 5 days. The deceased was born in Milford, Otsego County, New York, December 18, 1831, and came with her parents, Calvin and Apphia White, to Richland in February, 1848. She was the third child and eldest daughter in a family of ten children, four of whom survive her. Being of puritan extraction, she early imbedded habits of industry and strict morality which attended her through life. She possessed in a large degree the tact and skill that characterized the early New Englanders which enabled her to skillfully and successfully performed the varied duties and occupations which devolved upon her through life, among which was that of teacher. She publicly professed her faith in the Savior enjoined the Baptist church of Pulaski in 1857, of which she remained a member until her death. She leaves a husband and two sons and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss. Faithful as a daughter, sister, teacher, friend, wife and mother, may we emulate her virtues and with her enter into the joys of the faithful.
