      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, June 26, 1929 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - The death of Mrs. DeEtta Austin occurred at the home of her step-daughter, Miss Elizabeth Austin, Lake Street, early Monday morning following an illness of but two days. She had been a resident of this village for more than fifty years, coming to Pulaski with her mother when she was a girl of 16. She was born in the town of Orwell, August 2, 1857, a daughter of the late Truman and Sylvia Richards. Her father was a soldier in the Civil War and died while in the Army. 19 years ago she was united in marriage to W. Fayette Austin, who died about five years ago. Mrs. Austin is survived by two stepdaughters, Mrs. L. J. Macy and Miss Elizabeth Austin, both of this village and one step granddaughter, Mrs. G. Clark of Syracuse. She was a member of the Baptist church of this village, also of Pulaski Chapter, O.E.S., J. B. Butler W. R. C. and Celia Dewey Seamans Tent, D. U. V. C. W. The funeral services will be held at her Lake Street home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Albert E. Lawrence, officiating. Burial in Pulaski Cemetery.
