    • Newspaper Obituary - March 16, 1922 Sandy Creek News - William D. Jamerson - (excerpt) we sadly muse upon the departure of William D. Jamerson, which occurred at his home on the Ridge Road, March 10, 1922. The community has sustained a lasting loss by his death, as men of his type are not numerous. He was a man of excellent parts and possessed the noble traits that enter into the making of true manhood. He was born in this town July 8, 1872, on the farm cleared and owned by his maternal grandfather, Davis Hale, a pioneer of the town, and who by reason of his sterling worth as a citizen, excited an influence for good among the early settlers. Mr. Jamerson's parents are still living, his only brother died ten years ago, his father being Wilbur F. and his mother Harriet Hale Jamerson. He was united in marriage to Sarah L. Seeley, March 7, 1894, who survives and who has the sympathy of a host of friends in this hour of her greatest sorrow. A large concourse of mourning friends attended his funeral held at his home Monday afternoon, March 13. Rev. W. H. Hart D. D. assisted by pastor Davies officiating. Interment in Woodlawn cemetery. The fragrant flowers that covered the casket, where the prescious body reposed, bespoke of the fragrant life just closed. Few men who were more respected by the community at large than the departed. His business acumen and his sense of honor brought him success in his chosen profession. He owned and conducted one of the finest farms in Sandy Creek and by his honesty and integrity he made his life a benediction to others. He fully met the requirements of a faithful husband, devoted son, a neighborly neighbor, and loyal friend.
