      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday Evening, March 12, 1908 Oswego Daily Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski Recent Deaths - Mrs. H. J. Herrick Was a Lifelong Resident of Richland - Pulaski, March 12 - Mrs. Hiram J. Herrick died yesterday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur I. Decatur of Salina Street, after a long illness from paralysis. The deceased was born in the town of Richland about 78 years ago and for many years had been a member of the First Methodist Church of Pulaski_ Mrs. Herrick was the eldest of a family of fourteen children. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Ralph R Herrick, and a daughter, Mrs. Decatur. She also leaves three brothers, Irving L. Sherman of Sioux City, Iowa, and Ralph Sherman of Janesville, Wisconsin, and one sister, Mrs. Samuel J. Keller of Estherville, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the house at 1 p.m. Saturday.

      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 18, 1908 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Hiram J. Herrick died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur I. Decatur, the 11th, after a long illness from paralysis. Mrs. Herrick was born in this town 77 years ago. She was a member of the Methodist church for many years. She is survived by a husband, one son, Ralph, and one daughter, Mrs. Decatur, and three brothers, I. L. Sherman, of this village, G. S. Sherman, of Sioux City, Iowa, and Ralph Sherman, of Janesville, Wisconsin, and one sister, Mrs. Samuel J. Keller, of Estherville, Iowa, and three grandchildren, Mrs. Enos R. Hill, Ruth H. Decatur and Florence K. Herrick and one great-grandchild, Dorothy Hill. Funeral was held Saturday, at one o'clock, Rev. Frederick Maunder, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Friends from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sherman, of New York; Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Brown, Elijah Brown, of Mexico, William Sherman and Eva Gales, of Oswego, Mrs. Etta Abbott, of Altmar, Leverett Brown, of Syracuse, and A. C. Decatur, of Mingo, Ohio.
