- HAZEL MAY SWEATLAND
WESTDALE. Aug. 20-Hazel May Sweatland, daughter of Ray and Lillian M. Green Sweatland, died Tuesday night 11:15 o'clock
at the family home in Westdale. She was born in Westdate August 29, 1918, and was therefore nearing her ninth birthday. Sincere sympathy of many friends go out to the bereaved parents and members of the family circle. Besides the parents she leaves two brothers and a sister, Ray. Jr., 7, Catherine 3 and Robert, aged 1 year and 5 months; and the grandparents-on both sides of the family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sweatland of
Camden. Mr. and Mrs. N.A. Green of Westdale.
Hazel's sudden departure from life is a hard blow to the family, her friends and playmates. She was a beautiful child and have never been ill a day in her life until taken sick about two weeks before she died.
The funeral was held Friday afternoon at 1:30 from the family home and at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church. The Rev. A.F. Knapp, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in the family plot in Westdale cemetery
