Rena V. Nash
Mrs. Rena V. Nash, 73, of 7539 Salina St., Pulaski, widow of Ward F. Nash, died Thursday night, April 3, 1986, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, following a short illness.
The funeral was at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, with the Rev. Earl M. Smith, pastor oLPark United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek.
Calling hours were from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nash is survived by two sons, James E., Canton, Ohio, and Joseph K., Pulaski; a daughter, Jean Ann Grummett, Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren and a brother, Louis Abrams, Virginia.
A son Jack, died in November 1982 as the result of a hunting accident.
Born Nov. 23, 1912 in Brookfield, daughter of John and Reta Mattison Abrams, she was graduated from Eastwood High School, Syracuse, and St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing.
She was employed on the staff of the St. Joseph's Hospital and later on the staff of the Oswego County Tuberculosis Sanitarium in Orwell.
She married Ward F. Nash, Feb. 10, 1936 in St. James Episcopal Church, Pulaski.
With her husband, she owned and operated the Pulaski Wine and Liquor Store for 55 years. Mr. Nash died Feb. 7, 1975. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Nash operated the store with her son, Joseph.
Mrs. Nash was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and a 40-year member of the New York State Trotters and Pacers Association.
