    • Syracuse Herald-American, NY, 24 Feb 1994: "Max F. Halsey. Mexico -- Max F. Halsey, 81, of County Route 41 died Wednesday at E.H. Pierce Health Center, Mexico. A native of Parish, Mr. Halsey lived many years in the Mexico area. He owned and operated a farm and retired from the town of Mexico Highway Department. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, the former Edna Presley; two daughters, Roberta Skinner of Lowell, Ind., and Oma Courbat of Mexico; two sons, Max E. and Mickey, both of Mexico; three brothers, Maurice of Colosse, Raymond of Syracuse, and Merrill of Pulaski; five sisters, Nettie Horning of Parish, Arestine Spencer, Betty Halsey and Reatha Spedding, all of Pulaski, and Marian Ginn of Mexico; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 PM Saturday at Harter Funeral Home, the Rev. Dave Cook officiating. Burial arrangements are incomplete. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 PM today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Friday at the funeral home, 5305 Washington Ave. Contributions may be made to McFee Ambulance Corps or E.H. Pierce Health Center.

      Max F. Halsey, 81, of County Route 41 died Wednesday at E.H. Pierce Health Center, Mexico.

      A native of Parish, Mr. Halsey lived many years in the Mexico area. He owned and operated a farm and retired from the town of Mexico Highway Department.
