    • Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 1, 1960 The Tribune Press - Gouverneur, New York - Errol A. Reamore, postal employee, dies in hospital - Funeral services for Errol Reamore, 63, a Gouverneur post office employee, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist church, Rev. Stanley E. Brown, pastor, officiating. Mr. Reamore died Friday morning in the Edward John Noble hospital following a heart attack. He had had a heart condition five weeks. A private prayer service was held Sunday preceding the funeral at the Sprague Funeral Home. Burial was in Richland cemetery. Mr. Reamore is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margurite Reamore; a son, James, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Marilyn) Lynch, Syracuse and Miss Eleanor Reamore, Homer; three brothers, Wayne, Daytona Beach, Florida; Floyd, Rome, and Howard, Detroit, Michigan. He was born in Rome December 29, 1896, a son of George and Mary Bradack Reamore. He attended the Rome schools and was graduated from the Rome Free Academy. After finishing school he enlisted in the United States Navy, December 5, 1917. Mr. Reamore attained the rank of seaman second class and served on a mine layer in the North Seas. He was discharged in 1919. After his discharge, Mr. Reamore was employed by the New York Central railroad at Richland until 1930, when he moved to Gouverneur and was transferred to the traffic department. In 1940, he went to work for the First National Bank in Gouverneur, where he was employed until 1944. After that he worked for the John W. Rouse construction company, the Seaker & Graves Motor Company and was manager of the Universal Supply Store. In 1952 he went to work at the post office as a window clerk. Mr. Reamore married Miss Mildred Sprague, June 12, 1926. Mrs. Reamore died August 14, 1941. Two daughters were born during that marriage. August 9, 1942, he married Miss Margurite Hull, in a ceremony performed at the bride's family home by Rev. Harold A. Thomas, a former pastor of the First Methodist church. Mr. Reamore was known as a golf and bowling enthusiast and had won several trophies in the area of both sports. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, of James Malloy American Legion post, secretary and treasurer of the Gouverneur Citizen's Club, a charter member of the Gouverneur Country Club, and a member of the Gouverneur Rod and Gun Club.
