    • Newspaper Article - Wednesday, October 15, 1902 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Potter - Hibbard - A Pretty Home Wedding Solemnized Last Week - The residence of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Hibbard was the scene of a very pretty home wedding at six o'clock last Thursday evening, when their daughter, Miss Carrie Louise Hibbard was united in marriage to Dr. Clarence Albert Potter, of the medical staff of the Gowanda State Hospital, and a former resident of Orwell. Promptly at the hour named, and as the wedding march from "Mendelssohn" was rendered by Mrs. Theodore Haydn, of Dryden, the bridal party entered the parlor, the ribbons being held by Glenn Potter and his sister, Margerie Potter, nephew and niece respectively of the groom. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Sidney O. Barnes, pastor of the First Methodist church, during which selections were rendered by Mrs. Haydn. Miss Cornelia E. Hibbard, a sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and Walter W. Myers, of Buffalo, was best man. About the parlor was a profusion of smilax, tastily arranged with white ribbon. The floral decorations consisted of pink and white asters, the effect being most pleasing. The bride was becomingly attired in a handsome gown of white mousseline de sole over white silk and carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaid's gown was white over pink. She carried pink roses. At the conclusion of the marriage service the happy young couple, the bridal party and invited guests were escorted to the dining room, where a sumptuous wedding dinner was served. It was a quiet wedding, only the near relatives and close friends of the contracting parties being invited. Dr. and Mrs. Potter left on the evening train south. They will reside in Gowanda and will be at home to their friends after October 30. Following is the list of out of town guests: Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Potter, Mr. and Mrs. Llewellyn Potter, Glenn Potter, Miss Margerie Potter, Miss Mary Potter, Miss Ida Potter, Mr. and Mrs. Deforest Howlett, Miss Andric Howlett, Mrs. Roxana Beadle, Mr. and Mrs. Frank B.
