Floyd “Spike” Nolan, 65, of 80 Rainbow Shores Road, town of Richland, died Wednesday in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
Mr. Nolan was a small-engines instructor for 23 years at the Oswego County Board of Cooperative Educational Services in Mexico, retiring in 2001. He previously owned and operated Center Tool in Pulaski for 25 years.
Born March 10, 1938, in Syracuse, son of Floyd and Geraldine Gressler Nolan, he graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1955 and served in the Army from 1957 to 1962.
A marriage ended in divorce.
He was a member of Pulaski Kiwanis Club, was a fund-raiser for the Children’s Miracle Network and was a snowmobile and Harley motorcycle enthusiast.
Surviving are two sons, Patrick, Pulaski, and Joseph, Holly Springs, N.C.; his companion, Patricia Ingraham, Pulaski; a sister, Jermey Maxwell, Las Vegas, Nev., and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Born March 10, 1938, in Syracuse, son of Floyd and Geraldine Gressler Nolan. He graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1955. Served in U.S. Army 1957-1962. Last employed by Oswego County BOCES in Mexico as a small engine instructor, retiring after 23 years in 2001. He previously owned and operated Center Tool in Pulaski for 25 years. He was a member ofPulaski Kiwanis Club. He also was a fund raiser for Children's Miracle Network, and he was a snowmobile and Harley motorcycle enthusiast.
Survived by: two sons, Patrick of Pulaski and Joseph of Holly Springs, NC; his companion Patricia Ingraham of Pulaski; one sister Jermey Maxwell of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski.
