    • Newspaper Article - Wednesday, February 7, 1900 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Minot-Lighthall - At the home of the bride's parents, on the Richland road, last Wednesday afternoon, at four o'clock, occurred the marriage of Miss Eva M. Lighthall, only daughter of M. B. Lighthall, to Mr. Edwin Howard Minot, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Minot, of Los Angeles, California. Nearly one hundred guests were present. The pleasant farm home was especially delightful in that the bride and her friends gave much attention to the decorations. In one corner of the spacious parlor was an evergreen arch under which at the appointed hour the bride and groom took position, escorted by the groom's cousin, Mr. Claude Frary and the bride's intimate friend, Miss Golda Gates. The impressive ceremony was recited by Rev. J. Foster Wilcox while Mrs. Royal Whitney played the wedding march and subdued strains of appropriate music during the ceremony. As the bride entered the room she was preceded by her two nieces, Misses Lurel and Leona Lighthall who were dressed in pink and each carried a lovely bouquet of flowers. The bride wore a rich blue gown and caned a bouquet of choice flowers. After the ceremony a wedding supper was served which was very much enjoyed by the large company present. The wedding gifts were beautiful and of great variety. They consisted of the useful and ornamental and while we will not mention the whole list we wish to speak of the gift from the groom's parents, which was a beautiful bronze clock with onyx base and the dial set with emeralds. The bride is well known in Pulaski and has many warm friends who wish her much happiness in the wedded journey and the groom is a highly esteemed young man who is worthy of the circle of warm friends he possesses. After a short wedding journey Mr. and Mrs. Minot are at the bride's home where they will remain for the present. Guests from out of town were Mr. J. E. Calkins and Mr. Hoyt Calkins, of South Albion and Mr. And Mrs. J. F. Hadley of Sandy Creek, and Miss Grace Clifford, of Auburn.
