ROBERT S. HOWELL

Robert S. Howell, aged 83, resident of Three Mile Bay, passed away Friday at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home in Watertown. Robert resided in Three Mile Bay for the last 19 years, and had previously resided in Mexico for 27 years, and Phoenix for 12 years. Robert was born April 1, 1931 in Ithaca, the son of Raymond and Gladys Seely Howell. He graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central Schools and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 until 1954. Robert married Leila J. Shephard on February 23, 1952. He enjoyed nature, reading, boating and fishing. He was employed by Rollway Bearing for 20 years, and he was previously employed by Miller Brewing Company and Anheuser Busch.
Robert is survived by Leila Howell, his wife of 62 years, his three sons Timothy and his wife Terry Howell of Mexico, Glenn and his wife Natalie Howell of Boylston and Dale and his wife Tammy Howell of Fulton and daughter Brenda and her husband Steven Doben of Harvard, MA. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren Ken Howell, Josh Howell, Gabrielle Doben, Patrick Howell, Parker Howell and Sarah Doben and great grandson Dylan Howell.
Calling Hours will be held 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, November 8, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with the Memorial Service starting at noon.
