- ROY C. DODGE, OF LORRAINE, DIES AT AGE 78

Roy C. Dodge, 78, Lorraine Road, died at 12:25 p.m. Sunday at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, where he had been a patient since Friday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with the Rev. David Rudd, pastor of Pierrepont manor Union Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Contributions may be made to the the Pierrepont Manor Union Church or the memorial fund of Rising Light Lodge 637 F&AM, Belleville.
Surviving are his wife, Beulah B.; three nephews and two nieces.
A brother, Perl, died April 6, 1979.
Born in Lorraine on Oct. 12, 1915, a son of Roy E. and Myrtie Clark Dodge, he attended Heights Corners School House and was a 1933 graduate of Mannsville Central School. He married Beulah B. Bush on April 17, 1938, at the Methodist Episcopal Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Paul A. Roy officiating.
Mr. Dodge was employed with Rome General Cable, Rome, from 1937 to 1940. He operated a dairyfarm on the Lorraine Road from 1940 to 1961 and was employed with General Electric Co., Syracuse, from 1961 to 1966. He resumed operation of the dairy farm from 1966 until his retirement in 1978.
