      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, November 5, 2001 Syracuse Post Standard - Bessie Clark Wilder, 82, of 5510 Route 11 N., Pulaski, died Saturday. Born in Adams, she graduated from Pulaski High School. She retired in 1973 after 31 years as a telephone operator and secretary for Upstate Telephone Co. and GTE in Pulaski. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church in Pulaski, a volunteer dispatcher for Northern Oswego County Ambulance in Pulaski and a member of the Pulaski Bridge Club. Survivors: Her husband of 54 years, Charles D.; a sister, Loretta Butler of Sun City Center, Fla. Services: Private. Burial, Pulaski Cemetery. No calling hours. Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, has arrangements. Contributions: Northern Oswego County Ambulance, Box 113, Pulaski.

      Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, November 4, 2001 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Bessie C. Wilder, 82, of 5510 Route 11, died Saturday at Loretto Heights, Oswego. Mrs. Wilder was a telephone operator and a secretary, starting as an operator in 1942 with Upstate Telephone Company of New York at its Pulaski office and retiring in 1973 as a secretary at General Telephone's Pulaski office. She was a volunteer dispatcher for Northern Oswego County Ambulance, was a member of Park United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing bridge. Born May 23, 1919, in Adams, daughter of William and Helian Clark, she graduated from Pulaski Academy in 1936. She married Charles D. Wilder on Sept. 28, 1947, at Park Methodist Church. They lived all their married life in Pulaski. Surviving besides her husband, also a retiree of General Telephone, are a sister, Mrs. Harry (Loretta) Butler, Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of Pulaski, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A sister, Erma Bradley, died before her. A private service will be held at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Catherine C. Salisbury, assistant pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
