  Notes	Newspaper Article - Wednesday, November 29, 1899 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Fraicheur - Alfred Benway and Miss Maude Johnson, both of this place, were married at the bride's parents, George Lonee's, Sunday, the 19th, by Rev. J. Ford, of Hillisboro, and Monday evening a grand serenade was given them by about thirty, which lasted nearly an hour, after which they were invited in and treated to cigars and candy. We wish them a long and happy life.

  Alfred Benway - July 10, 1879 - October 30, 1960. Son of Francis Henry and Sophronia Ann Loomis Benway. Husband of Maude Rosella Johnson Benway. Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, November 3, 1960 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Last Rites for Alfred Benway - Last rites for Alfred Benway, 81, who died Sunday at the Oswego Hospital, were held Wednesday at 10:30 am. at the Taylor Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward Vander Hey, pastor of the Pulaski Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in Pulaski Cemetery. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Forrest (Nettie) Parrow and Mrs. Elmer (Evelyn) Anson, both of Pulaski; three sons, Allen of Altmar and Howard and Louis, both of Pulaski; six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Clara Looker of Sherburne and Mrs. Cora Brazie of Williamstown, and a brother, Arthur Benway of California. Mr. Benway was born July 10, 1879, in the Town, of Williamstown and was the son of Francis and Safronia Loomis Benway. He spent his early life in Williamstown and had been a resident of Pulaski 45 years. He was a cabinet maker by trade and was employed by the E. J. Seiter Company mill as long as it was in operation. His wife, Mrs Maude Benway, died in 1946.
