Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 25, 1956 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Leon C. Anson, 67, of Centerville, died unexpectedly about noon yesterday at his home. He was found outside the house on the ground. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Anson was born on September 20, 1888, the son of Spencer and Priscilla Donovan Anson. He was educated in local schools and for a while was engaged in the lumbering industry. He spent most of his life as a brakeman on the New York Central Railroad, retiring in October, 1948. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. On September 27, 1941, he was married to the former Miss Carrie Vance, who survives him. He is also survived by three daughters Miss Eileen Anson and Miss Pauline Anson, Syracuse; Mrs. Doris Reardon, Mannsville; a son, Kenneth Anson, Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, Claude of Detroit, and Lewis of Altmar; five sisters, Mrs. Dean Keane, Knoxville, Tennessee; Mrs. Mildred Weed, Pulaski; Mrs. Blanche Mellen and Mrs. Ruth Brewer, Oswego; and Mrs. Edith Spencer, Washington, New Jersey, and six grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the family home and at 1:30 in Richland Methodist church. The Rev. Wesley Baker, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Richland cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday and Thursday.
